The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has honoured the memory of Samuel Aboagye, describing his passing as a great loss to the nation.
Aboagye, who was among the eight people killed in the military helicopter tragedy on Wednesday, August 6, was remembered by colleagues and staff of the organisation with deep sorrow and respect.
At Friday’s state funeral, NADMO reflected on the legacy of the late Samuel Aboagye, painting a picture of a man whose short service left lasting impressions.
In a tribute delivered on behalf of the organisation, a representative noted that Aboagye’s humility, warmth, and commitment to teamwork set him apart.
“He had a way of making everyone feel important. His smile alone could light up the office, and his readiness to listen and support others earned him the admiration of all,” the message read.
Although he served only briefly as Deputy Director-General in charge of protocol, colleagues testified that his dedication was already shaping NADMO’s culture. His vision, they said, inspired confidence and encouraged positive change across the institution.
The organisation emphasised that while his journey was cut short, the values he embodied kindness, approachability, and selfless service would continue to resonate.
To them, Aboagye was not only a promising officer but also a source of encouragement whose legacy will endure.
