An ex-military officer in his early 50s has been found dead in his home at Fiifi Down, a suburb of Nyanyano Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
Residents said they were shocked by the discovery, noting that the man, popularly known in the area as “W.O,” was found naked in his hall.
Police were alerted after residents noticed a foul odor coming from the residence. Environmental Health Officers later fumigated the house due to the condition of the body.
The remains were conveyed to the Police Hospital morgue by a joint team of police and military officers for further investigation.
The incident has left the Fiifi Down community deeply shaken.
