The Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to retreat following their defeat in the Ablekuma North parliamentary primary rerun. Instead, he is calling for sober reflection and a renewed focus on rebuilding the party.
“Yesterday’s rerun in Ablekuma North was a difficult one for the New Patriotic Party. We gave it our all stood with our candidate, mobilised, and did our best. While the outcome was not what we hoped for, I remain proud of the effort and commitment shown by my team and the party members on the ground,” Dr. Acheampong said.
He stressed that moments like this should not cause party members to withdraw, but rather to regroup and reignite their commitment to the party’s core values.
“In moments like this, we do not retreat but reflect, reorganise, and rise again. The spirit of the NPP is not defined by one contest, but by our enduring belief in Ghana’s promise and our commitment to serve,” he added.
Dr. Acheampong concluded with a rallying call to move forward with unity and purpose, under the theme: #TimeToUniteAndRebuild.
