A report gathered by the Denkyiraman News Desk states the 14-year-old is a student of Alhaji Mustapha Basic School at Aboso, a town in Huni Valley of the Western Region. He hanged himself for the reason of being mocked by his classmates for impregnating a 12-year-old girl.
The boy is said to have taken his own life to save himself from the embarrassment, mockery and burden of being a young father to a child.
In an interview with the boy’s parents, they claimed there’s been no pressure from them as of when they heard the news that he’s impregnated a girl and they haven’t seen much from the girl’s family either, except for his classmates who have been in constant speculation and mockery of his ordeal.
The sad occurrence took place at an uncompleted church building and the body of the deceased was taken by the Huni Valley police command to the morgue, while the investigation commenced.
