It was down to the last round of games of the Total Energies African Cup of Nations qualifiers. As Group E was still not decided. It was the Black Stars of Ghana against the Les Fauves of the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
With both teams hoping to grab a slot in next year’s AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
The game which saw the visitors taking the lead 30 minutes into the game, saw the home team unsettled as they were hoping to change the narrative in Kumasi.
A last-minute free kick strike from Mohammed Kudus in the 43rd minute brought both team and level pairs as the home went into the break very hopeful.
The second department started well as super sub-Ernest Nuamah and Antoine Semenyo managed to rescue Ghana with a late chance, which gave the Black Stars more confidence in them.
The two goals from Kudus and Nuamah were enough to give Ghana 12 points as they book their place in next year’s AFCON alongside Angola.
