The body of an unidentified man has been found in the Offin River at Denkyira Buabinso in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region.
Residents discovered the body floating in the river early Wednesday morning and reported the incident to the authorities.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service, with support from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), visited the scene to commence investigations and retrieve the body.
As at the time of filing this report, the identity of the deceased had not been established, while the circumstances surrounding the incident and the cause of death remained unknown.
Police have commenced investigations into the matter.
