Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has expressed strong support for Ghana’s new President, John Dramani Mahama, during his inauguration ceremony held at the Black Star Square in Accra on January 7th. This gesture reaffirms Nigeria’s commitment to fostering a strong and supportive relationship with its West African neighbor.
Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria stands firmly behind Ghana and looks forward to collaborating to promote stability and cooperation in the region, particularly within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
During the inauguration, Tinubu assured the Ghanaian leader of Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
“My dear brother, I am here to work with you. You can count on my support at any time you need it. We are your brothers and sisters, and we will always be there for you,” Tinubu remarked.
“May your administration achieve profound success and bring progress to the people of Ghana and the entire region,” he added.
