Rituals have been practised by the Nananom of Okyereko in the Gomoa East Municipality of Central Region to pave the way for the construction of the Kasoa-Cape Coast bridge.
This comes after the construction work on the bridge was halted by the Nananom of Okyereko, to allow them do the necessary rituals before they could commence their work.
The constructors however paid a deaf ear and continued which led to the massive flooding which took place on the road weeks ago.
Hence, the Chief Priest of Okyereko, Okomfo Aya has led Nananom to perform the ritual for work to begin smoothly.
Okomfo Aya while performing the ritual, warned contractors to always seek permission from the Traditional council and Nananom before working on bridges on PaaN ii Lamptey, spokesperson for NATFERMONT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, spoke to the media, stating that all measures have been put in place for them to commence their work successfully.
He also thanked the Chief Priestess and Nananom for making it possible for them to continue working on the bridge.
