Hon. Andrew Egyapa Mercer, Tourism Ministerial Nominee has affirmed his commitment to utilising his legal background to tackle any legal hurdles that may arise within the tourism sector.

Capitalizing on his experience as a lawyer, Mercer expressed his eagerness of applying his legal expertise effectively in his new role.
Admitting the likelihood of disputes within the sector, he assured that he would serve as an advocate,to ensure fair resolutions for all parties involved.


Speaking before the Parliament’s Appointments Committee today, Tuesday, March 5, the Sekondi lawmaker stressed the significance of collaborative efforts in advancing the creative arts sector.

He highlighted the wide variety of opportunities within the industry and pledged to prevent conflicts from hindering the sector’s progress and the benefits it offers.
“Of course, as a trained lawyer, I noticed that one of the skills I have is to help in dispute resolution and


“So if there are disputes within the sector, especially in the creative arts space, then I am sure that my 20 years experience at the bar will come in handy in resolving those issues amicably,” he said.
