The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced an upward revision of sachet water prices, effective Monday, April 6, 2026.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Association attributed the increase to a global shortage of polymers and rising production costs linked to the ongoing conflict in Iran.
“The rising costs have made it challenging for manufacturers to maintain current prices,” the statement said.
According to NASPAWAP, the new recommended prices are as follows:
- Ex-factory: GH¢8 per bag of 30 sachets (500ml)
- Ex-truck: GH¢10 per bag of 30 sachets (500ml)
- Maximum retail price: GH¢15 per bag of 30 sachets (500ml)
The Association urged retailers and consumers to comply with the revised prices to ensure fairness in the market.
“This adjustment is necessary to sustain production and ensure the continuous supply of safe drinking water,” it added.
The price review is expected to have implications for households and businesses that rely heavily on sachet water as a primary source of drinking water.
