A delegation from the Denkyira Traditional Council has paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, at the Police Headquarters in Accra.
The visit, which took place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, was to formally brief the IGP on preparations for the impending installation and coronation of the 26th Denkyirahene, and to discuss security arrangements to ensure peace and harmony throughout the historic occasion.
The delegation included Nana Obeng Anane I, Denkyira Dabehene; Nana Obeng Nuako II, Denkyira Guabrahene; Nana Adjei Manu II, Denkyira Modaso Baapanin; Nana Agyekum Ntiamoah II, Kyekyewere Krontihene; and Kyeame Amoako, spokesperson.
Discussions also touched on broader issues of chieftaincy in Ghana, traditional governance, and the vital role of chiefs in promoting peace and development within their communities.
IGP Yohuno assured the delegation of the Ghana Police Service’s full commitment to maintaining law, order, and security before, during, and after the coronation. He further encouraged the chiefs to work together in unity to sustain peace in the Denkyira Traditional Area.
