The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has issued a set of directives to guide government workers and public institutions during the funeral and burial rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III, scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2025.
According to the ARCC, the measures are designed to ensure order, dignity, and full participation in the historic rites, which carry deep cultural and traditional significance for Asanteman. All government offices and institutions within the Ashanti Region have been directed to strictly comply with the guidelines.
The late Asantehemaa, who until her passing served as the Queen Mother of the Ashanti Kingdom, will be laid to rest with full traditional honors. Her burial is expected to be a momentous occasion, attracting dignitaries, traditional leaders, and mourners from across Ghana and beyond.
