A prison officer has been found dead under mysterious circumstances in River Pompo at Pomposo, a suburb in the Obuasi East District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, identified as Constable Clement Tei Gyabah, was discovered early Tuesday morning with his body submerged in the river alongside his motorbike. Residents who made the discovery quickly alerted the police.
According to eyewitnesses, the officer’s body showed no immediate signs of physical assault, but the exact cause of death has yet to be established. His motorbike, which was lying partially in the water, raised suspicions of a possible accident or foul play.
