The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sefwi Juaboso Constituency, led by its Regional Secretary in the Western North, Mr. Felix Foster Ackaah, along with the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Kwabena Adjei Asante, and party chairman Afum Krooko, have allegedly accused the Member of Parliament for Juaboso, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, of misleading the people of Juaboso and Ghanaians at large.
This statement follows remarks made by Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh during a media address, where he accused the Electoral Commission of employing active members of the NPP as returning officers and in other roles for the upcoming elections on December 7.
Hon. Akandoh also asserted that the Electoral Commission has neglected its constitutional duty of impartiality and is instead functioning as an extension of the NPP’s campaign efforts.
Addressing the media on November 20, Mr. Felix Foster Ackaah stated that Hon. Akandoh’s claims are untrue and merely fallacies. He concluded by asserting that Hon. Akandoh must be held accountable to the people of Juaboso, suggesting that he has nothing to offer them and encouraging voters to reject him.
Additionally, the Chairman of the NPP in the Juaboso District, Hon. Afum Krooko, voiced his support for Ackaah’s statement, adding that Hon. Akandoh only campaigns by highlighting projects initiated by the government instead of showcasing his own achievements.
