Upper Denkyira East NPP “Setting the Record Straight”

The Upper Denkyira East New Patriotic Party (NPP) Held a Press Conference dubbed ”Setting the Record Straight ”.

The Conference was Chaired by the Assembly Member for Atekyem Electoral Area in the Upper Denkyira East constituency, Hon.Kwasi Owusu and supported by the NPP Battalions in the constituency.

According to Hon.Kwasi Owusu, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in Upper Denkyira East constituency has sighted a propaganda-laced press conference of the NDC, addressed by Mr Gabriel Ampadu and George Anane Coleman, the Party’s deputy communication director and Organizer respectively, in the constituency on Monday, 15 January, 2024.

The press conference which was supposed to address some so called lies turned into a campaign platform, peddling blatant falsehoods, unsubstantiated allegations, and attacks at the persons of the hardworking Dr Festus Awuah Kwoffie, MP, the MCE, Ebenezer Appiah Forson and the NPP Government at large.

“Ordinarily, we (NPP) would not have dignified the NDCs empty statement and unmeritorious effusions with a response since they are no strangers to Ghanaians when it comes to such political theatricals.However, paying regard to the enormity of the allegations and falsehoods spewed, we have decided to set the records straight by responding to same with incontrovertible facts and data in order to assist the discerning people of the Upper Denkyira East constituency in making an informed decision. Before we proceed to address their propaganda-laced presser, we want to ask these three simple questions. Is their PC, Hon Emelia Ankomah aware of the press conference made by the executives of her party? Is she aware Falsehood Of the NDC, Hon. Akwasi Owusu Continued that, Hon. Dr. Festus Awuah Kwofie won the nod to be the Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East,and one of his numerous motivations was to see that he gets a befitting lorry park for upper Denkyira East.

”In the course of 2023, we met with the various stakeholder at the lorry park (the community, market women, drivers unions, media as well as the chiefs) and gave briefings on how the projects is going so far. For the record sake, let me state that currently we have done 150mm of drainage works with 311 pieces of 1.2mm culverts. As at now over 250,000 pavement blocks have been molded at the Dunkwa Lorry park which will soon be laid to ground on the park for commercial activates to resume soon” Hon. Akwasi Owusu explained.

He concluded by thanking each and everyone present at the Conference and urged the Good People of Denkyira to keep up with their commitments and not to be confused with Lies.
