A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kumawu Constituency of the Ashanti Region has taken drastic action in protest over the allocation of the School Feeding Programme contract.
Dissatisfied with the awarding of contracts to non-natives, the party member invoked curses on NDC executives, calling upon traditional deities and ancestors including Tweneboah Kodua to intervene.
He claims that loyal party supporters and their families, who contributed to the NDC’s success in the 2024 campaign, were unfairly sidelined in favor of outsiders.
The aggrieved member placed curses on any non-native benefitting from the programme within the Kumawu constituency, as well as on any party executive who attempts to sanction him or other committed supporters.
This unusual move underscores the growing frustration among some NDC grassroots members over the distribution of opportunities within the party.
