A 32-year-old man, Eric Adakanu, has been arrested by the police in the Central Region for allegedly killing his wife, Ayisha Mumuni, who is also 32 years old.
According to the police, Eric attempted to flee after attacking his wife with a machete but was apprehended by officers from the Kasoa Divisional Police Command.
Eric Adakanu is currently in police custody at the Bawjiase District Police Command, where he is assisting with the investigation.
His wife had been visiting her brother-in-law in Bawjiase for the holidays when Eric repeatedly accused her of infidelity. A heated argument escalated, leading Eric to grab a machete from their room and fatally attack his wife, who was the mother of three children.
