Farmer and Religious Leader in His 60s Behead Wife, Commits suicide in Ashanti Region

A man identified as a farmer and Religious Leader, believed to be in his 60s has beheaded his wife Ama Emelia aged 46 years at the farm on the basis that she was cheating on her.

This sad event occurred at Atwema Trabuom in the Atwema Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti region.

Reports gathered by the Denkyiraman news desk indicate the couple has been separated for some time now due to several misunderstandings on going back to their previous church after no congregation turned up in the man’s supposed church.

This issue has been back and forth between the couple, leading the woman to leave the house.
But the man recently convinced his wife to come back and take care of the needs of their child.

Ama Emelia upon visiting her husband’s home, decided to go to their farm to uproot some cassava where her husband beheaded her and walked to a nearby uncomplete house and committed suicide.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue, as the Ghana Police Service has launched a thorough investigation into the matter surrounding the discovery of the body.

Authorities are working to ascertain what triggered the suspect to take the life of his wife and to identify the family of the deceased.

The Police have not yet released further details as they continue their inquiries
