In Samreboi, located in the Amenfi West District of the Western Region, a tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, August 22nd. The accident resulted in the death of a 26-year-old illegal miner, Osman Iddrisu.
Osman was riding his motorbike to buy diesel for their illegal mining operation when he collided with another motorbike. The second motorbike was transporting a man and his sick wife to the Samartex hospital. After the collision, a truck carrying sand ran over the motorbikes, leading to Osman’s immediate death.
Osman has been buried in accordance with Islamic tradition, while the man and his wife are currently receiving treatment at the Samartex hospital.
