The Upper Denkyira East MP, Dr Festus Awuah Kwofie, donated 100 bags of cement to the Abenkesieso community in his constituency on Sunday 17th December 2023.
He expressed hope that the donation would help in the moulding of cement blocks to construct a new and standard community centre (facility) that would be accessible and conducive for funerals, wedding reception, community engagement and other social activities within the Abankesieso Community.
According to Dr Awuah, he remains committed to “contributing toward developmental projects initiated by our Chiefs, Assembly members, to the benefits of my constituents.”
He urged community members to provide communal labour and communal spirit in making this project a fruitful one.
Receiving the items on behalf on behalf of the community the Assembly member for the Abankesieso Electoral area Hon Sylvestina Bioh, expressed her gratitude to the hard-working member of parliament for upper Denkyira East constituency Hon Dr. Festus Awuah Kwofie, for the kind gesture.
“We are very much grateful to the MP and his team for their swift response to our request and for having the development of the community at heart” she stated. She promised to use the materials for the intended purpose.
Hon Sylvestina Bioh again pleaded with the MP to come to their aid with other building materials that they would need to complete this nostalgia project.
“We appreciate the time MP spent with us and we would love it if he often visited the community for such engagement”.
