One person has died in a road accident involving a jungle motorbike at Assin Aponsie in the Assin North District of the Central Region.
The deceased, whose identity has not yet been established, was reportedly travelling from Kumasi towards Assin Fosu when his red jungle motorbike veered off the road and crashed into a pavement near the Assin Aponsie lorry park.
The rider was later found dead at the roadside by passersby, who alerted the authorities. Eyewitnesses suspect the accident may have occurred several hours before the body was discovered.
The body has since been conveyed to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy, while the police have commenced investigations into the incident.
