The Effutuakwa Traditional Council has announced a temporary ban on noise-making and funeral related activities as part of preparations for the 2025 Tutukesee Afahye Festival.
The ban, which runs from 30th November to 12th December 2025, prohibits excessive noise, quarrelling, fufu pounding after 6 PM, loud drumming, wailing, and all funeral activities.
In a statement signed by the Planning Committee’s Vice Chairperson and former MCE, Mr. Nicholas Fiifi Baako, the Council urged all residents, churches, mosques, bars, and entertainment centers to comply.
Volunteers will be deployed to enforce the directive, and offenders will face sanctions. The Council says the measure is to preserve the sanctity and cultural traditions of the Effutuakwa Traditional Area.
