The new District Chief Executive (DCE) for Upper Denkyira West has pledged to revamp the Diaso market, prioritizing sanitation, accessibility, and fairness in stall allocation in the district capital.
Speaking to traders at the market on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Mr. Nsiah acknowledged existing challenges, including flooding, poor security, and limited internal access.
He assured market users that these issues would be addressed to improve the overall condition and functionality of the facility.
In a media interview, the DCE outlined plans to collaborate with stakeholders and market leaders to resolve these concerns and promote economic growth.
He also emphasized that the ongoing market stalls project would be completed and allocated fairly.
“Political affiliation won’t determine stall allocation. All interested traders will have a fair shot,” Mr. Nsiah stressed.
Traders welcomed the DCE’s visit and expressed hope that his promises would lead to lasting improvements.
