Tragedy has struck in Ghana’s Asante Akyem region, where a bus carrying 62 schoolchildren from Ben Konadu SDA Basic School was involved in a devastating accident on the Adukrom-Somanya road.
The incident occurred while the children were on an excursion to Akosombo, and eyewitnesses report that the driver lost control of the bus while descending a hill, causing it to somersault multiple times before landing on its side.
Several students are feared dead, and many others have sustained injuries.
