The lawmaker for the Upper Denkyira East Constituency and Deputy Minister for Employment and Labor Relations, Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie, along with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson, and local leaders of the New Patriotic Party, distributed sets of desktop computers to eight schools within the Upper Denkyira East Municipal area.
This distribution of computers adds to the ten schools that have already received computers through previous efforts.
At an open gathering attended by students, teachers, and parents, Hon. Appiah Forson, representing the Member of Parliament, allocated the computers among the schools. He urged both students and teachers to maintain the machines and keep them in good condition.
Hon. Appiah Forson also reassured schools that lack streetlights that provisions will be made to install lighting as soon as possible.
He encouraged the community to support the incumbent government and the Member of Parliament by voting for them again on December 7th, in order to secure further developmental support.
Festus Aaron Ofori, the headteacher of Mfuom MA Basic School and Vice Chairman of the Teachers Association in Upper Denkyira East, commended the Member of Parliament for his dedication to addressing issues related to the education system in the municipality.
Mr. Ofori praised the government’s efforts to familiarize students with technology, which is becoming an invaluable tool in today’s world.
Additionally, some students present at the program expressed their gratitude for the computers provided by Dr. Festus.
