Residents of NYANO Estate of Dunkwa On-Offin in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality, of the Central Region bemoan persistent flooding, caused by heavy rainfall.
The flood has continuously claimed their properties and valuable items, leaving them restless and insecure in that space.
The residents speaking with the Denkyiraman news stream cry for the intervention of the government to come to their rescue.
They lamented bitterly about illegal mining activities”galamsey” which has been going on in the area by some people who refuse to cover up the pits after work.
They allegedly claimed that the NADMO officials ignored them anytime there was rainfall.
“All efforts to contact leaders to come to our rescue has proved futile, therefore we plead with the Government to intervene before something bad happens”, residents pleaded.
