The Deputy Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development
Minister who doubles as the law maker for Offinso North Constituency, Hon. Collins Augustine Ntim has commended the Municipal Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira East Municipal, Hon Ebenezer Forson Appiah, and the entire Assembly Members and the Government Appointees for their tireless effort to bring the Municipality this far.
The deputy minister who spearhead the Inauguration of the newly elected Assembly Members and the Government Appointees on Monday February 12,2024, said this marks his fourth visit to the assembly but have witnessed massive improvement.
He said this improvement is why he decided to let the Municipality have a befitting assembly edifice which is almost completed.
He advised that the work of an assembly member is an enthusiastic one and not partisan, therefore the members should exhibit that enthusiastic character to maintain the trust and faith of various stakeholders in their electoral areas.
Additionally, the deputy Local government minister inculcated both the government appointees and assembly members to work cohesively to approve developmental projects in order not to drag the assembly back.
He stated clearly that the assemblies who failed to approve their presiding members earlier may lose a quantum amount of funds for developmental projects.
Hon. Ntim however expressed his amusement for almost all the assemblies giving massive endorsement and support to their presiding members.
