Former Deputy Minister of Information and spokesperson for Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide, has appealed to New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to vote massively for Dr. Acheampong in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.
In an exclusive interview with Mr. Justice Oppong Mensah on National Agenda on Denkyiraman Radio, Hon. Hadzide said Dr. Acheampong’s campaign is centered on unity and inclusiveness, stressing that the party needs a leader who can bridge divisions between supporters of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong.
He also commended Dr. Acheampong for his personal financial support to the NPP during the 2024 general elections, describing him as a loyal and committed party member.
Highlighting his strengths, Hon. Hadzide noted that at 52, Dr. Acheampong is the youngest among the five aspirants, making him attractive to the youth. He added that Dr. Acheampong has strong grassroots support, is approachable, and is committed to running a transparent administration that directly engages with party members.
The campaign, which began yesterday in the Eastern Region with visits to Abirim, Ofoase, and Akim Oda constituencies, is continuing today in Asinimanso, Ahiase, and Akim Swedru constituencies.
According to Hon. Hadzide, the electorates in these areas warmly welcomed the team and pledged their support.
He therefore urged party members and delegates to rally behind Dr. Bryan Acheampong on January 31, 2026, to ensure a united and stronger NPP.
