The District Manager of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa and Hemang Lower Denkyira, Mr. Benjamin Coleman, has assured residents of a renewed commitment to increasing enrolment onto the scheme within the two districts.

Mr. Coleman emphasized that registering with the NHIS remains the surest way for individuals to access timely and quality healthcare services, stressing the scheme’s mandate to make healthcare both affordable and accessible to all Ghanaians.

Outlining his strategy, Mr. Coleman disclosed plans to collaborate with the area’s Member of Parliament to embark on community-to-community and village-to-village outreach. This approach, he explained, will bring registration services closer to the people while raising awareness of the importance of joining the scheme.

He commended the government, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, for clearing NHIS arrears a move that he said has restored stability to the scheme’s operations.

Mr. Coleman further revealed that ongoing policy measures to expand the range of medicines covered under NHIS will significantly improve healthcare outcomes for beneficiaries across the country.
