It was a friendly contest at the Accra Sports Stadium as the Black Stars of Ghana took on the Lone Stars of Liberia. With both teams preparing for their various assignments in the coming month. With Ghana preparing for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and next year’s Total Energies African Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire Liberia will hope to finish up their AFCON qualifications against the Atlas Lion of Morocco.
With both teams coming out even in the first department of the game, with the home side having a great portion of the possession, the second half was a different narrative as the home team found their feet.
Ghanaian youngster Ernest Nuamah openly the score sheet with a lower volley finish in the 52nd minute giving the home fans something to cheer for whereas Ernest Nuamah made a sweet assist to Mohammed Kudus as he got the second for the day in the 59th minute.
The Black Stars however controlled the game as they entertained the fans at the stadium.
With Jonathan Sowah having a bite of the national team, he made his debut in the 80th minute as he managed to provide an assist for Jordan Ayew just two minutes after as he wrapped the scoring for his side for the day.
The visitors however had a consolation goal in the last minute of the game through Divine Teah.
Ghana crowned the day with a win over Liberia.
