Twifo Praso, Central Region, as 18-year-old Nana Zinabu was discovered dead in her bedroom under disturbing circumstances.
Three used condoms were found near her body, and her mouth appeared to be sealed with a substance resembling super glue.
The incident has left the community in shock and fear.
According to an eyewitness, who is also the victim’s neighbor, she discovered the body around 4:30 AM while preparing food for sale. Noticing that Nana Zinabu’s door was open at an unusual hour, she entered the room and found the young woman lying naked and lifeless.
Nearby, investigators found apples and additional used condoms.
The eyewitness quickly alerted other residents, who then reported the incident to the Praso Police Station.
The tragedy has left Twifo Praso gripped with fear, especially as Nana Zinabu was on the verge of completing her sewing apprenticeship.
Authorities have transferred her body to the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital for autopsy and further examination.
Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway, vowing to pursue all leads and bring those responsible to justice.
