Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East Constituency, Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie who doubles as Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, as part of his numerous initiatives has consistently brought forth Non Governmental organizations to help the municipality in diverse ways.
Hon. Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie in an interview with Denkyiraman radio’s National Agenda with CJ, said preparation is underway for a Non Governmental organization to visit Dunkwa On-Offin on Tuesday, 28th May 2024.
The Healing Heart and Hands (3H) non-governmental agency is coming to provide 1000 children with dental care and medical screening in Upper Denkyira East.
“Over sighting the dental care and problems of children at their young age, does more harm than good to them. As it’s expensive and delicate to treat them when they grow, therefore it’s advised that the treatment start while they are younger”, he explained.
Pleasant Valley Global in collaboration with the Healing Hearts and Hands (3H) together with other Organizations is embarking on this journey amidst its upcoming 15-year Dental and Medical Outreach.
The Organization aims to give back to these communities by enhancing good oral care and educating them on good medical practices in the Central Region.
The project is scheduled from May to June 2024, across designated communities in the Central Region of Ghana under the auspices of Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan
The honourable member said the program will come off at the Dunkwa On-Offin Boy’s School, where he will be present to make sure of peace and order.
Meanwhile, a free registration process is ongoing to make sure of a smooth and organized exercise on Tuesday.
He advised that people in the Municipality, especially parents should ensure that their wards come to write their names and get oral care.
