The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Boa Amponsem Senior High School, has donated 100 Mono Desks to the school.
The gesture is to help address the problem of insufficient desks for the students, due to the increasing number of fresh students.
Mr Wallace Acheampong, the PTA Chairman, who made the presentation to the school, said the PTA found that there were insufficient desks for the students about the increasing number of students.
He said the gesture also formed part of their responsibility to help create an enabling environment for teaching and learning in the school.
He advised the students to learn hard to enable them to pass their examinations so that the huge investment and resources of parents in their education would not be a waste.
Mrs. Grace Anapong, Headmistress of the School, receiving the items thanked the PTA for the gesture.
She promised to ensure that the desks were used for the purpose for which they were donated.
She said the bad road network leading to the school, and inadequate dining Hall tables, teacher bungalows, and dormitories, were some of the major challenges the school was facing, and called for support from corporate bodies and philanthropists.
