Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, has passed away. He died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a brief illness.
The sad news was confirmed by National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Sammy Gyamfi, who took to Facebook to eulogize the late diplomat. He described Ambassador Yalley as a great man whose commitment to the NDC and Ghana was unwavering.
“He gave his all for the cause of the NDC. A great man is gone. Rest well, Senior,” Sammy Gyamfi wrote.
Tributes have continued to pour in from across the country. Malik Basintale, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency, also shared his condolences, describing Yalley as “a good man.”
“Rest well, Boss. I will definitely see you again someday. May the good Lord keep you,” he posted.
Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley was a lawyer and political analyst who served in various capacities, including at the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), before his appointment as Ghana’s High Commissioner to India under the Mahama administration.
His passing has left a void in the NDC and among many who admired his dedication to public service and the nation.
