Nana Kwaku Armah II, the Paramount Chief of Wassa Damang in the Amenfi East Municipal, is urging the youth in his community to maintain peace and order while rallying behind him to drive development.
Despite hosting one of the country’s largest mining companies, Wassa Damang faces rising youth unemployment.
Nana Armah II has promised to facilitate more job opportunities from the mining company, acknowledging the need for employment to sustain community growth.
During a recent community gathering, Nana Armah II called for peace and assured the youth of his support in securing well-paying jobs.
He emphasized the importance of unity, saying, “Where we have reached is time for us to unite and maintain the peace we have, and translate it into the development we are seeking, particularly for Wassa Damang.”
Residents have expressed their hopes that Nana Armah II will create more job opportunities, citing the current dominance of outside workers in the local mines.
Jones Nana Ntiful, a respected opinion leader, has expressed confidence in Nana Armah II’s developmental plans, stating that he genuinely has the community’s interests at heart.
The Abusuapanyin of Damang Kwaku Ntiako has also urged community members to rally behind Nana Armah II’s vision, calling for collective support to bring his development agenda to fruition.
