A 30-year-old man accused of stealing a mobile phone met a brutal end after being attacked by an enraged mob in Adum, Kumica, within the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, he was part of a trio of suspects, but two managed to escape unscathed.
The deceased met his untimely death on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Allegedly, the man was accused of stealing a mobile phone in the vicinity of Boss FM in Adum and was promptly seized by an irate crowd.
The mob brutally assaulted him, inflicting fatal injuries that ultimately resulted in his demise.
Local traders alerted the police to the incident, and eyewitnesses recounted that the young man was brutally lynched at the scene before the police could arrive and intervene.
The deceased has been transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
