Rex Owusu Marfo, known as Rex Omar, a prominent Ghanaian highlife musician and entrepreneur, has been appointed as a Presidential Staffer for the Blackstar Experience.
This initiative is the flagship program of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) focused on culture, arts, and tourism. It aims to redefine Ghanaian identity, attract investments, create jobs, and enhance tourism through year-round celebrations in entertainment, arts, and education.
In addition to being a celebrated musician, Rex Omar is also an expert in intellectual property rights, making him a leading authority in Ghana. He has served two terms as Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), having been re-elected in March 2017.
