Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Dondon, who is accused of murdering MP J.B. Danquah Adu, broke down in tears in court on Wednesday. He expressed his frustration and exhaustion with the lengthy trial process.
Asiedu claimed that the court system in Ghana is unfair and maintained his innocence, despite undergoing nine years of legal battles. The court had to step in to calm him down so that proceedings could continue.
He firmly denied any involvement in the murder of J.B. Danquah Adu, who was the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North.
During the session in the Criminal Court Five division of the High Court, the trial judge, Justice Kizita Naa Koowa Quarshie, noted that the defense counsel, Sophia Armstrong, had indicated that they intended to file an application for bail. However, the court stated that it had not yet received this bail application.
