President John Dramani Mahama has instructed the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, to immediately launch investigations into cases of corruption and financial misconduct identified in the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) report.

This directive follows the submission of a detailed report by the ORAL committee, which outlined 2,417 suspected corruption complaints from the public to the President.

Mahama described the findings as “sobering,” revealing significant financial leakages that have deprived the nation of resources intended for education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social development.

“I have promptly handed over the report to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, and I instruct him to begin immediate investigations into the cases presented,” Mahama stated.

ORAL, which aims to recover misappropriated public funds, demonstrates Mahama’s commitment to combating corruption and enhancing accountability. He assured the public that every recovered resource would be redirected towards national development and that stronger measures would be implemented to prevent future losses.

“To those who value integrity, accountability, and the rule of law, I assure you that this government is your unwavering partner in building a nation where honesty and hard work are recognized and rewarded,” he added.

Mahama noted that the report’s recommendations would be carefully reviewed, with legal action taken where necessary, “without fear or favor.”
