Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the Defence Minister nominee, is dedicated to achieving a more balanced representation in the Ghana Armed Forces by ensuring that military recruitment is fair and inclusive across all regions.
This he explains will enable people from different parts of the country have an equal opportunity to join the military, promoting diversity and equality within the forces.
Speaking before the Appointments Committee , Dr Omane Boamah emphasised that as a staunch believer in equity, he would work to ensure that all regions of Ghana are adequately represented in the military.
“I am a student of equity, and I believe that the military must reflect the diversity of our nation,”
“We must ensure that every region is given equal opportunity to serve in the military, thus fostering unity and cohesion across the country”, he stated.
