Mr. Abraham Amaliba, who is in charge of Conflict Resolution for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded to Hon. John Darko, the Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region, advising that no individual should honor the invitation from the ORAL team.

In an interview on Denkyiraman Radio, Mr. Amaliba explained, based on his legal knowledge, that the President has the authority to form any committee to investigate misconduct or departments with suspicious activities.

He stated that the ORAL team has the mandate and power vested in them by the President to aid in the fight against corruption and ensure transparency in government.

“Anyone who claims that the ORAL team is illegal or baseless is naive about the rulings of our country. The Minority is simply employing disruptive tactics to divert attention from their own corrupt activities,” he said.

He also alleged that the minority government in every region has been sharing state lands among themselves, and these are the issues the ORAL Committee is seeking to address.

Mr. Amaliba emphatically stated that the Operation Recover All Loot initiative will continue to ensure that the fight against corruption is successful, with or without the consent of the Minority.

He concluded by saying that the ORAL team is not an investigative body and will not summon individuals; instead, they will focus on their assigned duties to combat corruption.
