President John Mahama has pledged that his government will ensure the nation’s resources are distributed equally, without discrimination.
“We will ensure an equitable distribution of resources so that all Ghanaians can benefit from the bountiful blessings that God has given us,” he stated.
Mr. Mahama is committed to ensuring that everyone in Ghana receives an equal share of the country’s resources, regardless of their background or status.
During his first National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service, held in Accra on Sunday, January 12, he made these remarks, following a similar event with the Muslim community on Friday.
President Mahama, who made a historic comeback to the presidency after the December 7, 2024 elections, acknowledged the challenges facing the nation and emphasized his commitment to work with his government to address them.
He expressed optimism that, with determination, the nation can overcome its challenges.
“The challenges we face are significant, but with determination, innovation, and collective effort, we can overcome them and build a Ghana that future generations will be proud of,” he stated.
To ensure effective delivery by his government, the President called on the Christian community for continued support through prayer.
“I humbly ask for your continuous prayers and partnership,” he added.
At the thanksgiving service, Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, delivered an inspiring sermon, expressing his belief that divine guidance would help lead Ghana through its current challenges.
