A man assumed to be in his early 40s has been found dead in an uncompleted building at Mile 11 in the Ga South Municipality.

The deceased, identified by locals as Justice, is suspected to have been dead for several days before his body was found.

Residents explained the strong odor emanating from the building led to the discovery of the lifeless body.
Alarmed by the situation, they promptly reported the matter to the Weija District Police.

However, it took police officers nearly five hours to arrive at the scene and retrieve the body.

An inside source within the police attributed the delay to a lack of operational vehicles at the Weija District Office.

This explanation has further fueled the frustration of residents, who are calling for urgent improvements in police response systems to avoid such delays in the future.

The body has since been conveyed to the morgue, pending investigations into the cause of death.

Meanwhile, residents are urging authorities to address the resource challenges faced by local law enforcement to ensure swift responses to emergencies.
