Dunkwa Traditional Chief Honors Ghana Cocobod CEO for Exemplary Service to Cocoa Farmers

The Chief of the Dunkwa On-Offin Traditional Area, Dr. Okoforobuo Obeng Nuako III, honored Hon. Joseph Boahen Aidoo, the CEO of Ghana Cocobod, with a citation in recognition of his exemplary work and commitment to the cocoa sector.

This ceremony took place during the “Cocoa Health and Extension Division Durbar,” held at the Methodist Church in Dunkwa.

In presenting the Citation of Excellence to Hon. Aidoo on behalf of the Nananom of the Dunkwa Traditional Area, Dr. Obeng Nuako highlighted the CEO’s enthusiasm and dedication, which have positively impacted cocoa farmers and overall production.

Dr. Obeng Nuako also acknowledged Hon. Aidoo’s efforts in increasing the price of cocoa at the farm gate.

While addressing the gathering, Hon. Joseph Boahen Aidoo outlined several measures to improve cocoa farming. He encouraged cocoa farmers to invest their time and resources in enhancing their farming skills and increasing the production of cocoa seeds to achieve higher incomes.

The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East, Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie, took the opportunity to commend the Cocobod CEO for his dedication, which has brought smiles to farmers’ faces in less than a year. He also recognized the Best Chief Farmer of 2024 in the municipality and promised that he, along with the NPP, would continue to support farmers at all costs.
