Akua Donkor, the founder and presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party, has passed away at the age of 72. She died on Monday night at 10 PM while receiving treatment at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital. The cause of her death is presently unclear.
Akua Donkor was born in February 1952 in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region. She was a cocoa farmer and had no formal education. She made significant strides in her political career. She was elected as assemblywoman for Herman. She aspires to become the President of Ghana.
She first gained political prominence in 2012 when she announced her candidacy as an independent candidate. Her contributions to Ghanaian politics will be remembered.
