Central Region Police Hunt for Armed Robbers After Star Oil Station Heist

Four heavily armed robbers who targeted and robbed the Star Oil filling station at Gomoa Dominase Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region are being hunted down by the Central East Regional Police Command.

The robbery occurred around 7:30 PM, on Thursday 22nd June, when an attendant, Ali Mohammed at the station, was serving a customer.

According to police sources, four men wearing face masks, two armed with pump-action guns and two with knives, stormed the station and began firing live bullets.

The robbers managed to steal GHC 3,392 before fleeing the scene.
The incident was captured on the station’s CCTV camera.
Although police officers were dispatched to the scene, the robbers had already eluded before their arrival.

Crime scene investigators from the Central East Regional Police Command have since visited the location and initiated an investigation.
No arrests have been made yet.
Meanwhile, Sources within the police revealed that this is the second time the filling station has been robbed.
