The Municipal Chief Executive of Upper Denkyira East Constituency, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson has made provision of 967 Marker Boards, 1,934 boxes of non permanent markers and 1,934 dusters for all classrooms in the Municipality.
Hon. Appiah Forson said 967 data was sent on behalf of the schools to the Education Ministry and the exact number was provided.
He continued that there’s a technical team available and deployed to various schools to assist in the fixing of the board to avoid excuses from some teachers or heads saying they couldn’t fix it.
The MCE pleaded with the teachers to make good use of the boards and protect it as a property of their own.
“Teachers have long lamented on the use of chalk boards, as it has been a problem for them both health wise and terms of use.Yet they’ve endured the pain till now, therefore now that the government has made this investment providing a marker board, and dusters with non permanent markers, I urge that teachers will utilize it as well as they can”, he said.
Hon. Ebenezer said he has hope that this investment made will enable easy learning and will also ease tensions on the teachers while teaching.
He also expressed his gratitude to the President, Nana Addo Danquah, the Education Minister, Hon. Adutwum and the Municipal Education Director, Mr. Anthony Takyi for their support and enthusiasm towards Education.
Hon. Ebenezer assured that the government is willing to do more to provide infrastructure for the betterment of the Municipality.
The municipal director of education Mr Anthony Takyi received the items and shared a word of gratitude.
He promised to assist the teachers in keeping a close eye on the items provided.
