A young man called Rasta, believed to be 37 years old has thrown himself into River Pra at Daamang in the Lower Twifo Hemang district.
Reports gathered have it that, the man threw himself overboard and drowned because he had allegedly been heartbroken by a lady.
Prior to the incident, he went to a nearby police station and asked to be detained but the police refused him detention.
Hence, Rasta took to his heels and the only place he could find refuge was in the River Pra.
According to Nana Kwesi Badu, the Adonteng hene of Twifo Daamang, he has said a prayer to the River god to have mercy on the man and bring his body ashore for burial.
Also, the Assemblyman of the electoral area, has said investigation is ongoing to see the cause of Rasta’s decision. As he takes all that’s been said as a hearsay.
