No Ghanaian athlete qualified for Paris Olympics 2024

Climaxing the Africa games in Accra yesterday with a remarkable feat of 68 medals. for team Ghana, praises are being heaped on team Ghana from all top officials and stakeholders in Ghana sports.

The staggering 68 medals won by Ghana is the highest number of medals for Ghana in a single multidisciplinary competition be it the Africa Games, Commonwealth or Olympic Games ever.

Aside from the glory that comes with getting medals in an Africa game, every athlete and the nation as a whole envisage to qualify for the Olympic games which is the biggest sporting competition in the world.

Unfortunately, no athlete qualified for the prestigious Paris 2024 Olympic Games based on the qualifying cut-off point for the competition.

Notwithstanding the 6 medals won in total by team Ghana’s athletics team and Joseph Paul Amoah placing first in 200m,Janet Mensah second in 200m, Evans Cadman et al? all of them couldn’t make the qualifying points for the games later in the year.

All disciplines may be the hope for Ghana in the upcoming Olympic games in Paris 2024
