The Long awaited Dunkwa lorry Station project in the Dunkwa On- Offin Constituency has commenced, as over 300,000 pavement blocks have been moulded by contractors to start with.

The Dunkwa Lorry Station project is one of the keen development for both the Member of Parliament for the Upper Denkyira East constituency who doubles as Deputy Minister for Employment and Labor Relations designate, Hon. Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson.

According to the Member of Parliament, they are hoping to get over 400 stalls at the lorry station and could also accumulate the various vehicles that ply the other towns in the municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Appiah Forson in an interview with Denkyiraman Radio described that the station was in a poor state.

“The Dwakesiem station was muddy and unpleasant while being one of a kind would as well be a major achievement for him and the entire Assembly if completed.

It is noted that the cost of sand, cement and other materials including payment of contractors for the construction was funded by the lawmaker, Hon. Festus Awuah Kwoffie.
